French Writing & Art
You can see French written on signs, posters, newspapers, shops and in restaurants. Street signs in France are written in French. Is some ancient towns there are two street signs. One is the name the street originally had and the other is new street name.
French is written using cursive writing. Most signs are written in French only but where there are a lot of tourists you can sometimes see signs in French and English.
There were a lot of very talented artists in France. Not all of them were French but they are associated with different areas in France due to the scenes they painted.

The miniatures in this museum were made using molds like these. After they were dried they were hand-painted. They show scenes of ordinary life long ago. Some of the figurines are for nativities.
